1ST EDITION MONTE GRAPPA BIKE DAY MAY 24, 2014

Monte Grappa Bike Day is a non competitive and free event open to all cycling fans. The roads will be closed to traffic during the event. The summit will be reached after a difficult but not impossible 20 km climb – the same route that the Giro d’Italia will follow six days later. This year, Monte Grappa Bike Day kicks off a week of cycling-related events hosted by Bassano del Grappa and the surrounding area during this extraordinary occasion for celebration.

HOURS OF TRAFFIC CLOSURE

  • CLIMB (from Semonzo del Grappa – “Gen. Giardino” road) from 09:00 to 14:00

HOW TO GET THERE

To independently reach the base of the climb, located in Semonzo in the municipality of Borso del Grappa, take the Romano Nord exit from Strada Statale 47 and continue in the direction of Monte Grappa to Romano d’Ezzelino. When you reach the roundabout, take Via Dante Alighieri (straight through), which then becomes Via Molinetto, for approximately 2 km. Turn left onto Via Chiesa.
The organizers are offering an optional rendezvous, intended for those who register but open to everyone, in the Decathlon parking lot at the Emisfero shopping center in Bassano del Grappa, starting at 7:30. The group start will be at 8:40.
